WHY BITE BACK?
Because good food brings people together.
I’ve been cooking for as long as I can remember - starting as a child at my grandpa’s side making pancakes and never really stopping. I worked as a cook throughout high school and college, always chasing new skills and harder recipes in the kitchen. Cooking and baking has always been a passion, but never something I imagined as a future.
Sourdough changed that. It became something steady in a season that wasn’t - carrying me through postpartum, a NICU stay with my daughter and the transition back into life at home. In the rhythm of daily baking and being present with my family, bread became more than food. It gave me space to slow down, find my way back to myself and stay connected to the people I love. It gave me my bite back.
And that’s where Bite Back Bakery began.
Baking sourdough helped bring me back to myself and reminded me what it means to be connected to others. Everyone eats. Everyone gathers. Everyone comes back to the table.
With every loaf, I want to share that feeling. Community, comfort and connection in something simple, made to be broken, shared and enjoyed with the people you love.
